Catching January light
January in San Francisco was a total surprise — blooming cherry trees, wild yellow flowers all around the city and the Valley.
Usually, this month feels slow: when it’s dark and grey, the best thing I can do is spend a lot of time at home, going through the archives and revising old work. I was hoping to do the same here — people kept saying that San Francisco is a very moody, rainy city.
In reality, the sun was incredibly bright and the mood was so cheerful that I didn’t have a chance to rot in my apartment. Instead, I went outside and took some images.
As usual, shot on film.
